about

i know i am not important, and most probably you don't care about me, what i do, what i think, or stuff like that. but anyway, it's my website, and i wanted to have this page :3

computing

i think i have a really good computer, it has a ryzen 5 5600g, an amd rx 6600, 1tb of ssd, and 1tb of hdd, 32gb of ram, and a good psu. however, i am trying to sell it to someone so i can buy something a little more powerful.

since early 2025 i am running as main operating system a gentoo install, you can find most of my configuration files here. there you can see my useflags, and other things that make up my system.

i used to play a lot before, but now i barely do, as a matter of fact, i haven't opened steam ages ago (and now i will try to avoid doing it, as i don't want my gentoo install to have non-free software). there are some games that i like, and even though i have them legally on steam, i just torrented them to keep playing them, and those are the half-life games, deus ex, and some other random games of that kind.

the programs i use the most are emacs, firefox, and the st terminal, actually, those might be the only programs i use in my computer. i do almost everything i can in emacs.

about me

i love reading, but likeā€¦ i reeeaaaaaally loooove reading, i've read quite a bit of books. some of my favourites are el olvido que seremos, crime and punishment, le petit prince, 1984, l'etranger, and sooo many more, but that's just to name a few.

i am into punk and metal (that's pretty much what i listen to most of the time), however, i also like some things that are not metal or punk, for example, i listen to melanie martinez sometimes, i listen to cavetown, billie eilish, girl in red, clairo, ed maverick, and music like that.

this is my libre.fm profile, in case you want to take a look at it!

fun facts about me

i speak 3 languages: spanish, english, and french. i used to be able to speak fluently, and maintain conversations in italian, but i never got to use it and forgot it.

i started coding since i was around 8 years old, i started learning with videos i found online. when i say that, i feel a little self-conscious as i don't think that i am as good as i should be by now. i felt like i lost a lot of time, because i was reaaally deorganised and didn't know what to do, nor what to learn. i am a little more focused now, so i hope it gets better in the following years.

i did two semesters of physics in a university (but gave up), and tried to start studying computer science in a different university, but i dropped out when i found out that after the second semester we'll start learning languages like java and python.

i've never written a single line of non-free code, and i don't plan on doing it. i've never worked in something related to programming, and i might not even do, i see programming as a fun hobby, i don't want it to feel like an obligation.
